Ho Chi Minh City: Speeding up the process of granting land use right certificates to 19 households in Cu Chi

(HTV) - Chairwoman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Nguyen Thi Le directed to urgently issue red books to 15/19 households in Cu Chi district before April 30, 2025.

On the afternoon of April 18, Comrade Nguyen Thi Le, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, had a meeting with citizens to listen to and resolve petitions related to the issuance of Land Use Right Certificates in Cu Chi district.

At the meeting, the main recommendations revolved around the legalization of houses and land of 19 officers and employees who used to work at Construction Joint Stock Company 46, currently living in Tan Phu Trung commune, Cu Chi district. Representatives of the households expressed their hope that the authorities would soon complete the procedures for granting Land Use Rights Certificates (red books), thereby stabilizing people's lives and ensuring their legitimate rights.

The representative of the People's Committee of Cu Chi district said that after reviewing, there are currently 15/19 cases that meet the conditions to carry out the registration procedure and consider granting the Certificate of Land Use Rights in accordance with the law. For the remaining 4 cases, the People's Committee of the district will continue to check and review each specific file to have appropriate handling direction.

Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Nguyen Thi Le has directed the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Natural Resources and Environment to coordinate and guide the Cu Chi District People's Committee to urgently support 15 households to complete their documents and carry out procedures for granting Certificates before April 30, 2025. At the same time, she requested the District People's Committee to continue reviewing, researching, and proposing solutions for the remaining 4 cases and clearly answering the people for each specific case.

In addition, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le emphasized the need to organize a public meeting to inform people about the status of each household's records - including those that are eligible and those that are not - to ensure transparency and legitimate rights of local people.
