During a working trip to Quang Ngai, on January 14, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh visited and extended New Year greetings to a number of businesses and people with revolutionary contributions in Quang Ngai province.

Accordingly, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh visited and extended New Year greetings at Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company, Quang Ngai province.

Reporting to Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, the leader of Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company said that, to date, Hoa Phat has been approved to invest in 8 projects in Dung Quat Economic Zone with a total investment capital of about 180 trillion VND. Particularly important are the Hoa Phat Dung Quat Iron and Steel Complex and Hoa Phat Dung Quat 2 Iron and Steel Complex projects with a total investment capital of more than 171 trillion VND.

When the Hoa Phat Dung Quat 2 Iron and Steel Complex project is completed, the steel production capacity of Hoa Phat Group will reach 14 million tons/year and is expected to bring Hoa Phat into the Top 30 largest steel enterprises in the world from 2025. Hoa Phat's projects in Dung Quat Economic Zone have created jobs for about 19,000 direct workers, of which local workers account for more than 80% and tens of thousands of workers of Hoa Phat's contractors and partners.
