In recent days, social networks have been outraged to discover that a series of artists such as Viet Huong, Hoai Tam, Phan Dinh Tung, Pham Khanh Hung, Toc Tien, Myra Tran... had their performances in the US dug up.
It is worth noting that in the above performances, these singers and artists shared the stage with groups of people who made many politically sensitive statements, or these artists all performed under the three-striped flag (the former Republic of Vietnam regime). Another point that the online community noticed is that most of the artists performing under the three-striped flag have lived and settled in the US for a long time. Many people consider living, performing in the arts and serving the Vietnamese community living in the US as their main purpose.

It is worth mentioning that after being discovered by the online community, these singers and artists all apologized. Most of them said that they are patriots, love their people, and never speak ill of the Party or the State... Then they explained that the above images were careless, not intentional, and even that the above images were arranged by the producer and they were only accidentally caught in them.
The online community joked that the above artists apologized not because they sang and performed under the three-striped flag, but because they were discovered or about to be discovered!
Faced with the above sensitive images, patriots need to strongly boycott these artists. They demand that the authorities take strict action, even “ban” and ban their performances, especially radio stations need to ban them from broadcasting.
Regarding this noise, some artists in the Vietnamese showbiz industry also spoke out. A typical example is singer Du Thien, this singer said that he was invited to perform abroad many times, and also had to refuse invitations many times when he felt the program was inappropriate or had sensitive issues.
This singer also said that he cannot affect the pride and image of the nation for personal gain or for any organization. He will definitely not compromise with any wishes of partners who have bad intentions towards his nation for money. At the same time, he firmly stated, "If you don't sing, then go home and leave the show. Even if you have to lie down, you will lie down with dignity, but you will never lose your national pride."
Although Du Thien is a rather "noisy" singer in public, his "heart-touching" statements have received widespread agreement and support from the public. The online community believes that if everyone could think and act like Du Thien, there would not be a series of artists performing under the three-striped flag as it is today.

According to the disclosure, the performances of famous singers and artists overseas often have very high salaries. However, whether they accidentally or intentionally performed at the programs with sensitive elements above, only the artists know. But one thing is certain, when attending the programs and the images with the three-striped flag were spread, they lost the trust of fans, especially patriots.
The incident has not yet been resolved, and the authorities have not yet commented on how to handle the case. However, this will be a lesson for artists such as Tran Thanh, Viet Huong, Phan Dinh Tung, Pham Khanh Hung, Toc Tien, Myra Tran… every time they return to perform abroad.
Another thing that artists need to learn from is that in September 2023, player Tran Quyet Chien accepted an invitation to participate in a friendly competition organized by the China Billiards and Snooker Association (CBSA) in Shanghai (China). This event invited the world's top players in the 3-cushion carom category.
However, on the first day of competition, the match between Tran Quyet Chien and his opponent was broadcast with the image of the "cow tongue line". As soon as he got the information and discussed it over the phone with his coach, Quyet Chien left the tournament and immediately returned to Vietnam, despite the fact that he might never be invited to major tournaments or lose a lot of money because of this sudden action.
Until now, many people still support and praise Quyet Chien's attitude, considering it a necessary action, an example for famous people to follow whenever there are sensitive issues related to politics and ethnicity.
Artists need to remember that money is also very valuable, but don't lose your honor and national pride because of high salaries.
