Up to now, the scale of Dak Nong's export items has been increasing, helping to increase the province's export turnover. In particular, focusing on key export items such as: coffee, cashew nuts, pepper, MDF boards, aluminum...
Dak Nong's export markets have been expanded. In addition to maintaining traditional markets, export enterprises in the province have proactively sought and expanded new markets.
In particular, new agricultural products such as durian and passion fruit have been directly exported by traders in the province.
Market relations of Dak Nong export enterprises are currently expanding to 35 countries and territories. Of which, the high and stable proportions are Singapore, Korea, Australia, China, the United States, the Philippines, Japan... In addition, some enterprises have also proactively sought and expanded new markets in Africa, the Middle East...
The number of enterprises participating in export is increasing day by day. There are currently 16 enterprises operating in export in the province.
Of these, 12 enterprises participated stably, including: 2 state-owned enterprises (Dak Nong Electricity Company, Dak Nong Aluminum Company under Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group); 7 non-state enterprises and 3 foreign-invested enterprises (Olam Vietnam Co., Ltd., Pagoda Food Industry Co., Ltd., MJ Vietnam Agriculture Co., Ltd.).
In the export turnover of the whole province, foreign-invested enterprises account for more than 60% in value. That is Olam Vietnam Company Limited.
This company is also playing a decisive role in the growth of local export turnover. Next are state-owned enterprises, accounting for nearly 20%. The rest are private enterprises.
Dak Nong's export turnover in the period of 2021 - 2025 is estimated to reach 4,978 million USD, reaching 80.19% of the plan.
Infrastructure development and synchronization
A highlight of commercial and service infrastructure in Dak Nong in the past 2 years is the Dak Mil Commercial Center Project.
The project has a construction area of over 7,500 m2 , in Dak Mil town (Dak Mil), with a total investment of nearly 645 billion VND. The project is invested by the Fruit and Vegetable Import-Export Joint Stock Company (a strategic partner of T&T Group).
The project is designed and built into a complex of architectural highlights with many functional areas such as: commercial center, shopping booth, event area and modern utility system (cinema, restaurant, cafe, gym, hotel...) and other utilities meeting international standards.
Once completed and put into operation, the project will become a major entertainment destination, integrating leading business types and accommodation services in Dak Nong as well as the Central Highlands region.
Attracting investment and building a modern and convenient trade system has always been a priority for Dak Nong in the past term.
Up to now, Dak Nong has had 1 commercial center in Kien Duc town, Dak R'lap district, phase 1 completed, phase 2 is being implemented. At the same time, there is 1 class II supermarket in Gia Nghia city and 1 complex center in Cu Jut district.
Along with that, Dak Nong currently has 46 traditional markets distributed in 42 communes, wards and towns; over 10,000 commercial establishments; 245 petrol stations and over 300 liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) stores in operation.
The market situation of goods and services in the province is relatively stable in terms of prices. Up to now, the goods traded are diverse in types and rich in designs, meeting the needs of production and consumption.
Deputy Director of Dak Nong Department of Industry and Trade Duong Thi Quynh Mai said that Dak Nong is developing trade in the direction of synchronously combining traditional trade with modern trade and e-commerce. This will promote production, business and circulation of goods and services in the area.
By 2030, the proportion of e-commerce sales compared to total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue of Dak Nong is expected to reach 13%. The average growth rate of retail sales of goods via e-commerce channels is expected to reach 20-21%/year.
The planning of Dak Nong province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, emphasizes the plan for developing commercial infrastructure. In particular, Dak Nong will encourage investment attraction and socialization to develop logistics centers, hubs, trade centers, supermarkets, and markets.
At the same time, build new and upgrade first-class markets according to national planning as well as attract and build new traditional markets, ensuring each ward and commune has one market.
Along with that, focus on building bonded warehouse clusters at the border gate area. Invest in logistics centers in Dak R'lap and Dak Mil areas and build a provincial fair and exhibition center in Gia Nghia City.
In the period of 2021 - 2025, the total retail turnover of goods and service revenue of Dak Nong is estimated to reach 104,936 billion VND, reaching 97.49% of the plan. The average growth rate in the period of 2021 - 2025 is estimated at 13.58%/year, nearly 2 times higher than the growth rate of total retail turnover of goods and service revenue in the period of 2015 - 2020. Total retail sales of goods and service revenue mainly belong to the non-state sector, with over 90%.
