The Government issued Decree 96 detailing a number of articles of the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment, which stipulates the practice time for granting a license to practice medical examination and treatment.
According to the Decree, the time for practicing medical examination and treatment for the title of doctor is 12 months, of which the time for practicing medical examination and treatment is 9 months; the time for practicing medical examination and treatment in emergency resuscitation is 3 months.
The time for practicing medical examination and treatment for the title of medical practitioner is 9 months, of which the time for practicing medical examination and treatment is 06 months; the time for practicing medical examination and treatment in emergency resuscitation is 3 months.
The internship period for medical examination and treatment for nursing, midwifery, and medical technicians is 6 months, of which the internship period for medical examination and treatment is 5 months; the internship period for medical examination and treatment in emergency resuscitation is 1 month.
The internship period for clinical nutrition is 6 months.

The internship period for the position of outpatient emergency medical officer is 6 months, of which the internship period for outpatient emergency medical examination and treatment is 3 months; the internship period for emergency medical examination and treatment is 3 months.
The internship period for clinical psychology is 9 months.
During the practice, it is necessary to integrate instructions on legal regulations on medical examination and treatment, professional regulations, professional ethics, patient safety, communication skills and behavior of medical practitioners.
Based on the scope of practice issued by the Minister of Health and the above regulations, the practice guidance facility shall develop specific practice content for each professional title for which the facility plans to organize practice guidance.
The practice guidance facility is responsible for ensuring that the practitioner works according to the facility's working regime. During the practice, due to health reasons or force majeure, the practitioner may temporarily stop practicing for a maximum of 12 months and the previous practice results will be retained.
Reserving specific practice results: Practitioners must submit a written request to preserve practice results and attach documents proving the reason for the request to preserve.
Based on the request of the practitioner, the head of the medical examination and treatment facility shall consider and decide on the reservation. In case of disagreement with the reservation, the head of the medical examination and treatment facility must have a written response stating the reason.
Within 30 days after the end of the reservation period, if the practitioner does not have a written request to continue practicing or request to extend the reservation period, the reservation result will no longer be valid, the total time of the reservations shall not exceed 12 months .
