Voters want the post-merger government apparatus to operate effectively and efficiently.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Huu Thong informed voters about the expected content and program of the 9th session of the 15th National Assembly.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Thong also informed and clarified the policy of rearranging and reorganizing administrative units at all levels, building a 2-level local government nationwide and in Binh Thuan province. To implement this policy, Binh Thuan province has developed a plan to merge 121 commune-level administrative units into 45 units. Of which, Phan Thanh commune and a part of the natural area of about 2.1 km2 of Hoa Thang commune will be merged into Hong Thai commune to form a new administrative unit called Hong Thai commune, the administrative - political center is located in Hong Thai commune with a natural area of 101.64 km2 and a population of 25,049 people. In the near future, the province will collect people's opinions on this issue, so delegate Nguyen Huu Thong hopes that people will actively participate.

Mr. Le Quang Huy responded to voters' petitions

At the meeting, voters expressed their joy and pride in the economic and political achievements that the country and Binh Thuan province have achieved after 50 years of liberation. Voters highly agreed with the revolution of merging provinces and organizing 2-level local governments that the entire political system is implementing. This is a historic event that helps build an increasingly prosperous country, with prosperous and happy people. Voters hope that when the new organizational model comes into operation, it must clearly assign people, tasks, responsibilities, and time to each cadre, civil servant, and public employee. Minimize the situation of cadres shirking responsibilities, causing people to have to travel back and forth many times. Voters also recommended that it is necessary to arrange commune-level cadres in a direction suitable to the characteristics of each commune and village's population to facilitate communication, culture, and grasp the people's thoughts and feelings. Voters also recommended that the Provincial People's Committee direct all levels and sectors to quickly implement tasks during the reorganization period, ensuring that after July 1, when the district-level government ceases operations, the new apparatus must immediately come into operation, ensuring smooth operation as before, creating favorable conditions for people to contact and resolve work. Voters also recommended that the National Assembly continue to maintain the programs and policies supporting ethnic minorities that are being implemented and introduce new support policies to help people stabilize their lives.

At the meeting, delegate Le Quang Huy responded to the voters' recommendations. In particular, delegate Le Quang Huy emphasized the importance of not organizing district-level governments, merging provinces and reorganizing commune-level governments. This is a revolutionary act to reduce intermediate levels, streamline the apparatus, and aim to build a government close to the people, improve the quality of service to the people. Regarding the voters' opinions raised at the meeting, Mr. Le Quang Huy would like to accept and will give opinions to relevant functional agencies.
