On the afternoon of April 15, speaking at the conference on developing medical tourism in Da Nang organized by the Medical Association in coordination with the Department of Tourism, Department of Health and the City Tourism Association, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Chi Cuong hoped that the opinions, discussions and exchanges in the program would help the city form high-quality tourism products to serve the people and tourists. Da Nang's tourism sector has reached a fairly good level of development, so high-value products such as medical services are extremely necessary. This is the premise for Da Nang to make a breakthrough, promote growth and is also a practical requirement of the Central Government for the city.
To build an effective medical tourism product, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee believes that the most important condition is the human factor. Medical personnel today not only serve the medical field but also serve tourism. Therefore, there needs to be effective connections, connections within each field as well as connections between the two fields. Departments, branches and sectors need to focus on propaganda and promotion work to bring products to tourists, and build attractive promotional programs. The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee believes that in the coming time, Da Nang's medical tourism products will soon be formed and reach tourists, and at the same time be the core product of the city's tourism.
The workshop attracted more than 200 delegates from departments, agencies, hospitals, travel agencies, accommodation establishments, domestic and foreign experts and investors.
