Sharing love from meaningful meals

People receive free vegetarian meals from members of the "Live to Love" Club.

Established nearly 15 years ago, the “Live to Love” Club has gradually become a support for many less fortunate lives. From a small charity group, specializing in calling for help for difficult circumstances, the Club has now maintained stable operations with nearly 40 regular members.

Before the Covid-19 outbreak, the group mainly called for support for the sick, the ill, and those in difficult circumstances. After the pandemic, the group continued to maintain volunteer activities by organizing free meals for workers, scrap collectors, lottery ticket sellers, and the disabled...

Since then, the “zero-dong rice kitchen” model was born and has been maintained regularly until now. Each time the rice is distributed, the Club cooks 1,000 vegetarian meals, between 9:00 and 10:30 a.m., distributed at 3 locations: No. 2 Man Quang 6 Street, No. 357 Khuc Hao Street and Da Nang Hospital.

Having been with the Club for nearly 10 years, Mr. Nguyen Van Thong (born in 1967, Man Thai Ward, Son Tra District) confided: “Doing volunteer work with everyone in the Club is my great joy. Every time we distribute rice, seeing the eyes and bright smiles of the uncles and aunts gives us more strength and makes us forget all our fatigue.”

The club operates without its own fund, all expenses are based on voluntary contributions from benefactors near and far. Every month, members take turns mobilizing and calling for donations to maintain the kitchen as well as organizing charity trips.

Not only within the city, the Club also conducts charity trips to remote areas in localities such as Quang Nam, Quang Tri, Hue city...

Besides the heartwarming meals, the “Live to Love” Club also spreads the beautiful message that happiness is giving. Seeing others smile because of what you do - sometimes, that is enough happiness for kind-hearted people.
