Opening of the book fair 'Books - The Gateway to Knowledge'

DNO - On the evening of April 17th, at the East Bank Park area of ​​the Dragon Bridge, the People's Committee of Son Tra District inaugurated the Son Tra Book Fair 2025 with the theme "Books - The Gateway to Knowledge," aiming to honor the value of books and promote the reading movement in the community. Attending the event was Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee, Nguyen Thi Anh Thi.

The book fair took place from April 17th to 20th with the participation of 5 local and central publishing and distribution units that have branches or representative offices in Da Nang . This year's book fair featured 20 booths showcasing many new books and editions, as well as a wide variety of educational equipment, stationery, and other supplies.

Besides buying and selling books, readers can also participate in many beneficial activities and enjoy special artistic performances such as: book and stationery exhibitions and sales; multimedia mobile library services and skill-building games; exhibitions of beautiful paintings and photographs from Son Tra district and the GreenViet Center; book presentation competitions for junior high school students; storytelling competitions based on books for elementary school students; dance group festivals; art performances by preschool students; musical exchanges between music groups and visitors…

“With the theme “Books – The Gateway to Knowledge,” the book fair sends a strong message about the role of books in spiritual life, education , and the sustainable development of society. Each book is a friend, a teacher, and most importantly, a gateway to the endless world of knowledge for each of us, especially the younger generation. Son Tra District always aims to build a learning society, encouraging reading in schools, families, and the community. The Book Fair is a highlight in that journey,” emphasized Huynh Van Hung, Vice Chairman of the Son Tra District People's Committee.

Within the framework of the Son Tra Book Fair 2025, readers can also contribute to sharing knowledge by donating, contributing, and supporting books and cultural products through the "Community Bookcase" model launched by the Organizing Committee.

The donated and supported books will be transferred by the organizers to school libraries, neighborhood reading rooms, community book collections, etc., in order to contribute to sharing and spreading knowledge to the community and book lovers.
