On the evening of March 23, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union coordinated with the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund to organize the award ceremony for Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces 2024.

From 159 nominations from 55 units, the award council selected 10 Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces and 8 Promising Young Vietnamese Faces.

Each honored individual brings a powerful inspirational story, representing the transformation of the young generation in the era of integration and innovation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh commended and congratulated the outstanding young faces who received the awards.

The Prime Minister said that in the context of the country facing a historic moment requiring historic decisions to prepare for entering a new era, Vietnamese youth must strive with all their might.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh: Young people must dare to face and engage in new fields of science, technology, and innovation.

“Once you are determined, you must be even more determined. Once you have made an effort, you must make even greater efforts. Once you have acted decisively, you must act even more decisively. Work with focus and key points, complete each task, and make it happen. You must have the mindset of 'turning nothing into something, turning difficulty into ease, turning the impossible into possible, nothing is impossible'; focus on performing tasks in the spirit of: Clear people, clear work, clear responsibility, clear authority, clear time, clear results,” said the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the Party, State and people completely trust and have great expectations for the contributions of the young generation and Vietnamese youth in the new era.

The Head of Government expressed his hope that outstanding young people in particular and young people in general will continue to promote the spirit of initiative, creativity, passion, and dedication of youth, dare to think, dare to do, dare to commit, dare to contribute, dare to aspire, dare to overcome their own limits, constantly strive to rise up, realize their aspirations, dreams, ambitions, and ideals.

The Prime Minister also asked the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Federation to further promote the role and contributions of young people in all fields, focusing on the "three pioneers".

First, be a pioneer in innovative thinking and strategic vision. "Vietnamese youth must think far and wide; think deeply and do big things; value time, intelligence and decisiveness, be timely with unlimited creativity and dedication," said the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister presented awards to outstanding and promising young Vietnamese faces in 2024.

Second, pioneering in the development of science and technology, innovation and national digital transformation. Young people must dare to confront and engage in new fields of science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, creating breakthrough projects and products, promoting labor productivity, creating businesses with outstanding growth potential, Vietnam's "Unicorn Startups", contributing to the country's acceleration, breakthrough, rapid and sustainable development.

Third, pioneering in nationalizing human civilization in our country and internationalizing advanced culture, imbued with national identity of Vietnam to the world. Youth must constantly make breakthroughs, create new, unique cultural products, imbued with national cultural identity; at the same time, select and absorb the cultural quintessence recognized by humanity, contributing to promoting the strong development of cultural industry, entertainment industry, creating new spiritual values of regional and world stature and constantly enhancing the cultural enjoyment value of our people.

“I suggest that every young person, regardless of field or location, must have ambitions, dreams, aspirations, passion, enthusiasm, dare to commit, dare to surpass themselves. Constantly strive, bravely face all difficulties and challenges, uphold the spirit of self-reliance, self-improvement, innovation, and contribute intelligence, strength and enthusiasm to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland,” said the Prime Minister.

The Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces Award is an award given by the Central Youth Union to young people with outstanding achievements in many fields: study, scientific research - innovation, production and labor, business - start-up, national defense, security and order, sports, social activities, culture and arts and state administrative management.
