According to sources from the supply chain, Apple will equip the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air with a 120Hz screen, providing the ability to display smooth moving images on the device.
According to ETNews, the iPhone 17 generation launched next year will all be equipped with LTPO technology screens by Apple. This means that for the first time, the standard iPhone 17 duo will support ProMotion screens with a 120Hz refresh rate.

So far, Apple has limited the ProMotion display feature to the iPhone Pro models. Therefore, leaked information about expanding this technology to the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air has received much attention from users.
Supply chain reports further suggest that Samsung and LG will be the two suppliers of LTPO displays for all four iPhone 17 models.
Previously, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also said that the iPhone 17 generation will be equipped with a WiFi 7 chip developed by Apple itself. This chip will replace the Broadcom chip currently used for WiFi and Bluetooth. The WiFi 7 chip is expected to be manufactured on TSMC's 7nm process. This is part of the plan to move away from third-party suppliers.
Apple is also said to have used a factory in India to carry out the initial production of the iPhone 17 generation, instead of doing it at factories in China. The move shows a big step by "Apple" in reducing its dependence on factories in China.
