According to the 2023 high school graduation exam schedule, on June 27, candidates will be present at the exam site to complete exam procedures, listen to the regulations and correct any incorrect information (if any). On June 28-29, candidates will take 4 exams: literature, math, combined exam, foreign language. The morning of June 30 is the backup exam.

The 2023 high school graduation exam will consist of 5 exams, including: 3 independent exams of math, literature, and foreign language; 1 combined natural science exam including physics, chemistry, and biology; 1 combined social science exam including history, geography, and civic education for candidates studying the general high school education program or history and geography for candidates studying the continuing high school education program.
After completing the 2023 high school graduation exam, candidates will know the exam results at 8:00 a.m. on July 18. The Department of Education and Training of localities will announce the high school graduation exam results by July 22 at the latest. Printing and sending the exam result certificates to candidates will be completed by July 24 at the latest. The high school graduation recognition after review will be considered by August 12 at the latest for candidates who choose to review their exam results.
For candidates using high school graduation exam results to apply to universities and colleges, the first round of admission results will be announced before 5:00 p.m. on August 22.
Before 5:00 p.m. on September 6, candidates confirm online enrollment for the first round. And from September 7, schools that are still short of enrollment quotas will begin announcing additional enrollment.
