On February 13, the Academy of Journalism and Communication officially announced its plan for regular university enrollment in 2025.
This year, the academy plans to recruit 2,050 students with 4 admission methods including considering academic records, considering a combination of academic records and international certificates, considering high school graduation exam scores, direct admission and priority admission.
In particular, with the method of considering academic records, the academy will consider the learning results of 6 semesters, expected to reserve 20% of the admission quota, an increase of 5% compared to last year.
With the combined consideration method of academic records and international certificates, the academy plans to reserve about 30% of the admission quota, double that of last year.
This method requires candidates to have an international English certificate equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or higher, SAT certificate 1,200/1,600, average score of 6 semesters of high school at least 7.0 or higher, good conduct.
Candidates applying for admission to journalism and publishing must have an average score of 7.0 or higher for 6 semesters of literature.
With the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, the academy plans to reserve 50% of the quota, a 20% reduction compared to last year. The academy accepts the conversion of English scores for candidates with IELTS English certificates of 5.0 or higher.

Last year, the admission score to the Academy of Journalism and Communication based on high school graduation exam scores ranged from 24.68 to 28.25 points (on a 30-point scale).
Of which, the multimedia communication industry has the highest standard score in group C15 (literature, mathematics and social sciences). The Party building and state administration industry has the lowest standard score of 24.68 in group A16 (math, literature and natural sciences).
With a scale of 40, history has the highest standard score of 38.12 points for combination C19 (literature, civics and history). English has the lowest standard score of 34.7 points for combination D72 (literature, natural sciences, English).
