This morning, October 23, the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Council held its 44th meeting to review the contents to be submitted to the 27th session of the 8th Provincial People's Council. At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung reported the contents of 22 proposals and draft resolutions on various fields submitted by the Provincial People's Committee to the 27th session of the Provincial People's Council. The Provincial People's Committee directed specialized agencies to draft contents suitable to the reality and development requirements of sectors and fields, along with contents that need to be adjusted promptly.
In particular, focusing on issues such as adjusting the 2024 public investment plan with local budget balance capital, planning the medium-term public investment plan for the 2026-2030 period, necessary policies to be amended in accordance with current laws, approving adjustments to investment policies for a number of important projects of urgent importance to local socio-economic development...
Also at the meeting, representatives of the Provincial People's Council committees reported the results of the examination of the submissions and draft resolutions. Through the examination, the committees basically agreed with the contents proposed for adjustment and supplementation in the submissions and draft resolutions of the Provincial People's Committee.
Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang emphasized: The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council basically agreed with the contents expected to be submitted to the 27th session (special session) held on October 25, 2024.
At the same time, it is necessary to pay attention to some issues that need to be focused on and considered, such as completing unfinished public investment projects, paying attention to arranging local counterpart funds for projects using ODA capital, resources for science and technology, and innovation. In particular, it is necessary to prioritize allocating resources to support investors in implementing key projects such as Quang Tri Airport, My Thuy Port Area, industrial parks, etc.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested the Provincial People's Council committees to continue to supplement and complete the inspection reports so that the session can complete the set contents and tasks.
