According to a representative of Vietnam Airlines, from now until January 28, the North, Central and Central Highlands regions will often experience dense fog.
Fog factors limit visibility and affect take-off and landing at Noi Bai (Hanoi), Cat Bi (Hai Phong), Tho Xuan (Thanh Hoa), Vinh, Phu Bai (Hue), Phu Cat (Quy Nhon) and Pleiku airports.
Vietnam Airlines' operating plan may have to change in bad weather conditions.
Therefore, the airline's operating plan may have to change according to the assessment of the weather impact to ensure flight safety. "Absolute safety for passengers and flights is always Vietnam Airlines' top priority," the airline representative emphasized.
To ensure the rights of affected passengers, for flights delayed for 2 hours or more, Vietnam Airlines said it will serve passengers food and drinks in the waiting room. For flights forced to divert, the airline will support the cost of the road from the alternate airport to the intended airport of landing.
Vietnam Airlines recommends that passengers planning to travel to and from airports in the Northern, Central and Central Highlands regions during this time should regularly monitor and update weather conditions and flight schedule information on the airline's official website and social networking sites.
