From the night of September 6-7, due to the influence of storm No. 3, the capital Hanoi is likely to have moderate rain, heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain and thunderstorms; in thunderstorms there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind; the highest temperature is about 31-33 degrees, the lowest is 25-28 degrees.

In addition, the meteorological agency forecasts that from the night of September 6 to the morning of September 9, in the Northern and North Central regions, there is a possibility of heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms with total rainfall ranging from 100-300mm, in some places over 500mm.

To minimize the damage caused by storm No. 3 Yagi, on the evening of September 4, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh signed and issued an official dispatch directing proactive response.
