VTC NewsVTC News03/09/2024

Since the age of 5, Su Hao Gia has been known by many people and nicknamed a math genius with outstanding calculation ability.

Hao Gia was always at the top of his class, and his knowledge was far superior to that of his peers. Therefore, when he was in grade 4, or 9 years old, he had already completed the math program for middle school students.

In addition to the knowledge learned in class, Hao Gia always seeks out and reads more in-depth content about Math in books and newspapers. At the age of 10, the boy from Zhejiang participated in the national Math competition for primary school students. For the first time participating in a big competition, Hao Gia surprised many people when he "won" the gold medal.

Even his family did not expect Hao Gia to have extraordinary mathematical abilities because he had almost no investment in extra study, and no one in his family pursued this field for guidance.

With impressive achievements, Hao Gia was noticed by teacher Du Thuy Nang - who specializes in training young math talents. Realizing that this boy was not only talented but also hard-working, teacher Nang decided to recruit him to train him into a genius.

Hao Gia attended special courses reserved for excellent students and was trained through many challenges set by the teacher. Under the guidance of Mr. Nang, Hao Gia increasingly developed his strengths and registered in major competitions.

At the age of 13, Hao Gia began to take university level math courses. Competitions for middle school students seemed too easy for this boy.

A year later, Hao Jia was admitted to the Mathematics Talent Training Program of Tsinghua University. The boy from Zhejiang made many people admire him when he was personally invited for an interview by the famous Chinese mathematics professor Qiu Chengtong. Hao Jia became an excellent student, always trusted by his friends and teachers.

In 2022, he participated in the National Youth Informatics Olympiad and won the first prize in Zhejiang Province. The teacher commented that Hao Jia was a rare "mathematical genius" and advised his student to participate in the world's largest math competition.

Not disappointing his teacher's expectations, Hao Gia became a member of the Chinese Math team participating in the IMO - International Math Olympiad.

Hao Gia, a 10th grader from Hai Luong High School (Zhejiang Province), participated in the competition for the first time. Although it was his first time participating in an international competition, Hao Gia was always calm and confident, making good use of the knowledge he had accumulated over the years. In the end, the 10th grader brought home the gold medal for China with a perfect score of 42/42.

Hao Gia surprised many people even more when he recently continued to achieve the same result at IMO 2024. He was the only candidate to achieve a perfect score in this year's exam, and also set a record by achieving 42/42 points for two consecutive years.

Not relying on his own talent, Hao Gia always humbly learns and practices diligently for a long time. Especially when encountering difficult math problems, Hao Gia worries so much that he cannot sleep. He also often skips meals because he is absorbed in doing math... Hao Gia has become a shining example for many young people to follow.
