Need to arrange the order of favorite wishes first
Up to this point, many universities have announced early admission scores. According to records, among the schools that have announced early admission scores, there are many majors with scores reaching 30 points.
For example, Foreign Trade University, with the method of considering transcripts, the highest standard score is 30 points for majors with international programs, specifically: Digital Marketing (Hanoi campus); Logistics and Supply Chain Management and Integrated Marketing Communications (HCMC campus).
Or at Hanoi Law University, the admission score based on high school academic results (transcript) is highest at 30/30 points for the Economic Law major, combination A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry), A01 (Math, Physics, English).
In addition, some other majors have quite high benchmark scores such as: International Commercial Law, benchmark score for combination A01 is 29.08 points; Law, combination A01, benchmark score is 28.1; combination C00 (Literature, History, Geography) benchmark score is 28.6; combination D01 (Math, Literature, English) benchmark score is 27.64.
At this time, the Ministry of Education and Training's admission system is open to support candidates in practicing their application for university admission in 2024.
The registration period lasts until 5pm today (July 10). After this time, the system will close and all data will be deleted.
According to regulations, candidates officially register their university admission wishes on the system from July 18 to 5:00 p.m. on July 30, 2024.
The Ministry of Education and Training especially notes that candidates who have completed the application for admission to training institutions according to the early admission plan, if they meet the admission requirements (except for the high school graduation requirement), must continue to register their admission wishes on the system to be considered for admission according to regulations.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy - Director of the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education and Training) noted that when candidates receive notice of early admission, they are not yet admitted to university.
According to university admission regulations, candidates who are admitted early to schools must still register their wishes on the common system of the Ministry of Education and Training and are only admitted to one highest wish.
The system will stop at whichever wish the candidate is admitted to and will not consider further. Therefore, candidates need to arrange their favorite wishes first.
Candidates are not required to confirm admission early.
According to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, no later than 5:00 p.m. on July 10, universities that organize early admission must update the list of candidates eligible for early admission to the Ministry's admission system.
In order to ensure fairness and the rights of candidates, the Ministry of Education and Training notes that training institutions are not allowed to request or agree with candidates to commit to or confirm early admission in any form (paying deposit fees, keeping records, etc.).
The Ministry of Education and Training also requested that training institutions notify candidates who meet the admission requirements (except for high school graduation requirements) so that candidates have sufficient information and are proactive in registering their admission wishes for the system; there must be a plan to not exceed the expected number of enrollment targets.
Training institutions are absolutely not allowed to re-examine admission (increase or decrease admission scores) to eliminate or add candidates. All early admitted candidates must be put on the system for processing if the candidates have registered for admission.
As planned, at 8:00 a.m. on July 17, the Ministry of Education and Training will announce the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the total number of candidates registered for the high school graduation exam this year is 1,071,000, an increase of more than 45,000 candidates compared to last year.
This year, only 37% of candidates chose the Natural Science exam, while the remaining 63% chose the Social Science exam. Compared to last year, the number of candidates choosing the Social Science exam increased and was the highest since 2017.
