In An Giang, the HIV/AIDS epidemic still has many potential challenges, the number of HIV infections has tended to increase again since 2019, high-risk areas such as: Long Xuyen City, Cho Moi District, Chau Phu and Phu Tan. By the end of December 2024, An Giang is one of the "hot spots", alarming in the number of new infections (over 18,500 people).
