In the province, there are currently 13 mines that have been granted investment policies, including: 4 limestone mines, 4 natural sand and gravel mines, 1 stone mine for sand production, 3 landfill mines, and 1 clay mine for bricks and tiles. There are 14 mines that have not yet submitted their applications.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment has coordinated with the Department of Finance to remove difficulties for 4/13 mines that are implementing investment policy issuance; the Department of Finance has just issued a document asking for opinions for 3 mines that have just submitted the policy; there are 6 remaining mines with problems, including: Tay Hung and Pa Phang stone mines, Chieng Hac commune (Moc Chau town); Area 3 stone mine, Me Lech village, Co Noi commune; Area 2 sand mine, Ta Hoc village, Ta Hoc commune; Ta Chan sand mine, Chieng Chan commune (Mai Son district); Xum Con clay mine, Na Nghiu commune (Song Ma district); Bat Dong land fill mine, Sap Vat commune (Yen Chau district).
At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing and proposing solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles in 3 groups: Land use plans, land use planning, land use targets leading to failure to grant investment policies; obstacles in forestry planning and construction planning.
Speaking at the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant departments and branches to continue implementing Notice No. 108/TB-VPUB dated March 21, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee Office. The Department of Agriculture and Environment shall issue a document requesting opinions from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to remove difficulties and obstacles before April 7; coordinate to support investors in implementing basic design, environmental impact assessment, cadastral measurement... The Department of Finance shall review difficulties and organize to collect opinions; develop detailed plans for each mine before April 10; minimize the time for handling administrative procedures for units. The Department of Construction shall review appropriate investment policies based on the document requesting opinions from the Department of Finance... Districts, towns and cities shall continue to implement the contents of Notice No. 108 of the Provincial People's Committee Office; Manage the current status of mines well... put mines into operation soon, contributing to promoting local socio-economic development.
