Survey of ecotourism cooperative model in Chieng San commune

The Provincial Farmers' Association surveyed tourist attractions at Chieng San Eco-tourism Cooperative, Chieng San Commune, Muong La District.

Chieng San Ecotourism Cooperative, Nong Luong village, Chieng San commune was established in February 2024, with 7 members and a total operating capital of more than 1 billion VND. Since its establishment, the cooperative members have invested in renovating Tat Pha waterfall, located at the foot of Tai Hua mountain range, in Chieng San commune. Renovation items include more than 1 km of road to the waterfall, bathing dam, stairs to the dam; repairing and upgrading houses and ancillary works to serve guests with food and drink, releasing fish at the foot of the dam and raising goats in the campus to create a landscape, with a total cost of more than 2 billion VND. In recent times, this place has attracted a large number of tourists to visit and experience every weekend.

After the survey, the leaders of the Provincial Farmers' Association requested the local government to continue to pay attention to and support the cooperative in building and completing procedures and documents to enjoy support policies. The cooperative is requested to plan, build and complete infrastructure, invest in works and landscapes, and maintain harmony; tourism development must go hand in hand with the preservation and maintenance of traditional cultural identity, green agricultural eco-tourism, contributing to the transformation of economic structure and creating jobs for local workers.
