Hung Yen City: Summary of the implementation of Program No. 10 on urban cultural and civilized lifestyle

On March 27, Hung Yen City Party Committee held a conference to summarize the implementation of Program No. 10-CTr/TU dated January 20, 2021 of the Hung Yen City Party Committee Executive Committee on "Improving the quality and effectiveness of implementing cultural and civilized urban lifestyle in Hung Yen City, period 2021 - 2025" (Program No. 10). Attending the conference were comrade Pham Huy Binh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Hung Yen City Party Committee.

Implementing Program No. 10, Party committees and authorities from the city to the grassroots have actively implemented many specific measures, bringing about clear results. Propaganda work has been promoted with more than 250 conferences, attracting over 13,600 participants, organizing 15 training courses for 2,500 cadres, party members, civil servants and public employees. The city established 38 direct propaganda teams in residential areas, distributed over 30,000 leaflets, built 216 columns, and over 300 news and propaganda articles on mass media.

Comrade Secretary of Hung Yen City Party Committee Pham Huy Binh awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives with outstanding achievements in implementing Program No. 10.

In the work of restoring urban order and protecting the environment, the city has organized many campaigns with the participation of thousands of cadres, party members and people. Wards and communes have carried out 255 general environmental cleaning sessions, restoring urban order with more than 6,300 participants. Up to now, 100% of wards and communes have implemented pilot models of "Garbage-free residential groups", "Garbage-free villages and hamlets", with a total of 45 models. The implementation of civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals and festivals has had many positive changes. The rate of cultural families in the city reached 94%...

In addition to the achieved results, the implementation of Program No. 10 still has some limitations such as: encroachment on sidewalks and roads for business purposes, and indiscriminate dumping of waste still occur; organizing weddings at cultural houses has not achieved the desired results; some localities still implement the program in a formalistic and not drastic manner; handling violations has not been thorough, and the criteria for walking streets have not been implemented...

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing, sharing experiences and proposing solutions to improve the effectiveness of implementing Program No. 10.

On this occasion, the City Party Executive Committee and the Chairman of the City People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing Program No. 10 and practicing a civilized and cultural urban lifestyle.
