At the 2024 Cooperative Star Awards and Honor Ceremony held on the evening of April 11 in Hanoi, Thanh Hoa province had 2 cooperatives honored for their outstanding achievements in production and business development activities. This activity is part of a series of events of the Action Month for Cooperatives this year.
Director of Shaoxing Agricultural Service Cooperative received the 2024 Cooperative Star Award.
The two cooperatives that received the 2024 Cooperative Star Award are Thieu Hung Agricultural Service Cooperative, Thieu Hoa Town, Thieu Hoa District and Tan Son Environmental Sanitation Service Cooperative, Tan Son Ward, Thanh Hoa City. These are two typical cooperatives with a large number of members, building effective production and business plans, creating jobs and stable income for workers.
4-star OCOP product Van Ha yellow melon of Thieu Hung Agricultural Service Cooperative.
Thieu Hung Agricultural Service Cooperative was established in 1996, mainly engaged in agricultural production and business; focusing on the production of safe vegetables, tubers and fruits, with a total area of over 20 hectares. To date, the cooperative has 505 members. The average revenue reaches over 20 billion VND per year, creating jobs for hundreds of local workers. Currently, the cooperative has 2 products: Van Ha yellow melon and Baby cucumber, which have achieved 4-star OCOP certification.
Tan Son Environmental Sanitation Service Cooperative creates jobs for hundreds of workers.
Tan Son Environmental Sanitation Service Cooperative was established in 2006, with 327 members collecting and transporting household waste. With an effective production and business plan, the cooperative's revenue reached 84.612 billion VND/year. Notably, the cooperative has regular employees who are women and disadvantaged people in society.

The 2024 Cooperative Star Award "Co-opStar Awards 2024" was presented by the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance to 100 outstanding cooperatives nationwide. This award is organized to honor cooperative business models with humanity, for the progress of society. At the same time, it honors the will of self-reliance, self-reliance, hard work, creativity, and efforts to overcome difficulties of the cooperative community for the development of the collective economy. The honoring ceremony helps to strongly spread the message of typical cooperative models with new determination to contribute to the realization of the Party's Resolution, the State's policies, and arouse the aspiration of cooperatives to contribute to building a prosperous and happy country.
