Beating Thailand 2-1, Vietnam team was awarded 3.2 billion VND

The Vietnamese team defeated Thailand 2-1 in the first leg of the 2024 ASEAN Cup final at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho) on the evening of January 2. At the same time, it created an advantage in the second leg taking place at Rajamangala Stadium three days later.

The victory over Thailand at home helped the Vietnamese team receive a bonus of 2 billion VND from Loc Phat Bank (LPBank). This is the amount that LPBank offered before the first leg of the final if they beat Thailand.

In addition, coach Kim Sang Sik and his team also received an additional 1.2 billion VND in bonus from Dong Luc Sports Group - the official uniform sponsor of the Vietnamese team with the Jogarbola brand.

Previously, the Vietnamese team received 1.5 billion VND in bonuses for two victories against Singapore in the semi-finals.

Specifically, the team received 1 billion VND in bonus from sponsor Acecook Vietnam after the 3-1 victory over Singapore in the second leg. Meanwhile, Hop Luc Group (Thanh Hoa province) awarded 500 million VND before the match.

In total, the Vietnamese team received 4.7 billion VND in bonuses for their journey to the finals.

The bonus amount promises to increase even more if coach Kim Sang Sik and his team win the ASEAN Cup 2024. Because SHB Bank has offered a bonus of 2 billion VND if Xuan Son and the Vietnamese team win the championship.

Not to mention the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), other sponsors and benefactors will also give big rewards to the Vietnamese team if they are crowned champions on January 5.

At 9:10 a.m. on January 3, the Vietnamese team will fly to Bangkok to prepare for the second leg of the final against Thailand. Coach Kim Sang Sik said the Vietnamese team will learn from the loss in the first leg to play better in the second leg.
