Representative of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee reported the results of collecting opinions on people's satisfaction with new rural construction.

The appraisal council was chaired by Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Duc Duy. Also attending were Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province Ha Minh Trang; Provincial Office for Coordination of New Rural Development; People's Committees of Long Xuyen City, Tan Chau Town and Thoai Son, Chau Thanh, Cho Moi, Chau Phu and An Phu districts...
At the appraisal session, delegates focused on assessing the implementation and maintenance of the level of achieving the criteria for a new rural commune; the work of archiving, updating annual reports and supporting documents; the implementation and maintenance of the level of achieving the criteria for an advanced new rural commune; the work of archiving, updating annual reports and supporting documents of the commune; appraisal, assessment, and results of implementing the regulations on model new rural communes in the field of production organization; reviewing supporting documents for criteria and indicators...
Through appraisal and evaluation: 4/4 communes achieved 19/19 criteria and 57/57 targets according to the set of criteria for new rural communes; 4/4 communes achieved 19/19 criteria and 75/75 targets according to the set of criteria for advanced new rural communes; 6/6 communes ensured the requirements according to the regulations for model new rural communes.
Through the voting results, the Council members unanimously recognized 4 communes: Tan Phu, Vinh Loi (Chau Thanh district), Tan Thanh and Le Chanh (Tan Chau town) to meet the standards of "New rural communes" in 2024; 4 communes: Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuy (Chau Phu district), Khanh Binh (An Phu district) and An Thanh Trung (Cho Moi district) to meet the standards of "Advanced new rural communes" in 2024.
Recognizing 6 model new rural communes, including: My Hoa Hung commune (Long Xuyen city), Binh Phuoc Xuan commune (Cho Moi district) and Vinh Nhuan commune (Chau Thanh district) meeting the standards of model new rural communes in the field of production organization in 2024; recognizing My Khanh commune (Long Xuyen city) meeting the standards of model new rural communes in the field of tourism in 2024; recognizing Thoai Giang commune (Thoai Son district) meeting the standards of model new rural communes in the field of digital transformation in 2024; recognizing Vinh Thanh commune (Chau Thanh district) meeting the standards of model new rural communes in the field of culture in 2024.
Concluding the appraisal session, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Duc Duy requested that the People's Committees of Chau Thanh, Chau Phu, An Phu, Thoai Son districts, Tan Chau town and Long Xuyen city urgently implement the remaining limitations that the departments and branches have mentioned, complete the necessary and related documents, and send them to the Department of Agriculture and Environment for synthesis. Assign the Provincial New Rural Area Coordination Office to advise the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the Provincial People's Committee Office to carry out the following procedures and submit them to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for recognition.
