TTH.VN - At around 11am on May 4, train SE1, which had just departed from Hue station to Ho Chi Minh City, derailed at the Dien Bien Phu crossing (about 1km south of Hue station), forcing the railway industry to organize a passenger transfer by car from the incident area to Da Nang station, with about 355 passengers.
A representative of the Railway Transport Department - Hue Branch informed that at the above time, the passenger train number SE1 had just departed from Hue station to the Dien Bien Phu crossing (Hue City) when the 7th and 8th carriages derailed 4 axles. Fortunately, the passengers were not affected and no one was injured.
Immediately after the derailment, leaders of Thua Thien Hue province and Vietnam Railways Corporation directed units in the area to mobilize human resources, vehicles, and rescue equipment to the scene to overcome the consequences; at the same time, organize the transfer of passengers by car at the incident site to Da Nang station with nearly 355 passengers.
"Currently, rescue work is being urgently deployed by relevant departments, striving to clear the road as soon as possible during the day.
