(Baoquangngai.vn) - The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the People's Committee of Nghia Hanh district organized a conference to deploy the task of developing tourism; agricultural and rural community tourism in building new rural areas in 2025.

The conference was held on the afternoon of April 16 at Suoi Chi Eco -tourism Area, Hanh Tin Dong Commune (Nghia Hanh). Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan attended and delivered a speech at the conference.

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Thanh delivered the opening speech at the conference.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that Quang Ngai has made many efforts in exploiting tourism potential, especially community tourism associated with agriculture and rural areas. Destinations such as: Suoi Chi provincial tourist area, Go Co community tourism village, Binh Chau, Tinh Khe have gradually affirmed their attraction, contributing to enriching the tourism picture of the province.

The conference is an opportunity for departments, sectors, localities, and travel and tourism service businesses to recognize achievements, assess challenges, and propose breakthrough solutions for 2025.

In 2024, Quang Ngai tourism industry has positive growth. The total number of tourists reached over 1.4 million, revenue of over 1,434 billion VND. Destinations such as Ly Son Island, Sa Huynh tourist area, My Khe beach, Chau Tan, ... are increasingly attracting more tourists thanks to their wild natural beauty and unique cultural values. In addition, the province has made efforts to invest in tourism infrastructure, improve the quality of tourism human resources and promote communication and tourism image.

At the conference, the presentations and contributions from departments, branches and enterprises focused on assessing the current situation and finding solutions to overcome limitations in tourism management and development; solutions to enhance innovation and creativity in tourism product development. Promote the application of technology and improve the quality of tourism communication. Promote the role of cooperation between agencies, organizations and enterprises in tourism development; towards the goal of sustainable tourism development.

Speaking at the conference, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan emphasized that Quang Ngai always creates all conditions for businesses providing travel and tourism services to operate in accordance with the law.

In the coming time, to develop sustainable tourism, comrade Tran Hoang Tuan requested that departments, branches and localities continue to carry out propaganda activities, disseminate tourism laws with diverse methods and rich content; raise awareness and responsibility for protecting the environment, natural landscapes and tourism resources so that "each citizen is truly an ambassador and tour guide".

Gradually form tourism value chain models; link, promote the development and consumption of OCOP products, preserve and develop rural craft villages through the development of rural agricultural tourism, green, safe and sustainable tourism. Continue to innovate methods, tools, and apply digital technology in tourism promotion; promote the power of communication and increase promotion on social networks.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism handed over 2 agricultural and rural community tourism models to the People's Committee of Quang Ngai City and the People's Committee of Binh Son District, including: Community tourism model, developing destinations at the coconut forest in Tinh Khe commune; Community tourism promotion model, associated with the Sa Huynh Cultural relic in Binh Chau commune.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee announced the decision to recognize Suoi Chi Eco-tourism Area in Hanh Tin Dong Commune (Nghia Hanh) as a provincial-level tourist area.
