Tan Chau launches Olympic Running Day for public health

Attending the event were Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong - Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee and over 300 officials, civil servants, employees, workers and people in Tan Chau town.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong requested the People's Committees of communes and towns and heads of departments, branches, organizations, and armed forces to have plans and measures to strengthen leadership of the campaign, expand propaganda and education to raise awareness among all classes of people about the benefits of physical education and sports activities.

In addition, localities and units are increasingly investing in better facilities for physical training and sports activities; diversifying forms of physical training and sports activities. People choose for themselves suitable sports to practice every day, in order to create a habit of reasonable exercise to protect and improve health.

After the launching ceremony, the Tan Chau District Culture, Sports and Broadcasting Center organized for participating units to run 2km around the park area; organized competitions in 2 sports: sack jumping and tug of war.
