Authorities search for missing boy
Initial information, on the afternoon of June 30, B. and her 7-year-old sister went swimming together in the Saigon River, under the Binh Loi iron bridge (Hiep Binh Chanh Ward, Thu Duc City). After 5:00 p.m. on June 30, both of them went ashore, the 7-year-old girl went back to her rented room first.
The 7-year-old girl waited for her brother to return, but he did not return, so she went back to her rented room. At that time, the adults had gone to work, so the girl did not tell anyone about the incident.
By early afternoon on July 1, people discovered that baby B. was missing and asked her about it. The girl told them the whole story. At Binh Loi iron bridge, people found the boy's shirt.
Upon receiving the news, Thu Duc City Police coordinated with relevant units to dispatch many vehicles and dive for many hours in the Saigon River to search for the boy but were unsuccessful.
There were no surveillance cameras at the scene, making it difficult to verify and track down the missing person.
Authorities are searching for the boy.
The case of the missing 5-year-old boy is being urgently clarified by Thu Duc City Police.
