The Hanh's former teachers could not hold back their tears when they heard The Hanh share about the process of overcoming difficulties to complete the 7th book - Green Journey.

Everything seemed to collapse. There were times when The Hanh wanted to end her life, but with the determination and love that everyone gave her, The Hanh overcame it. Despite her deformed face, blindness in both eyes, paralyzed limbs, convulsions, and unclear pronunciation, The Hanh practiced every day so that her hands could move. Hanh learned braille (a form of Braille for the blind) and learned Braille computer with teacher Vu Xuan Truong. In addition, with the encouragement and guidance of teacher Nguyen Quoc Phong (Thien An Shelter in Ho Chi Minh City), The Hanh found joy in life again.

In 2013, The Hanh participated in the writing contest "Extraordinary Willpower" organized by Thanh Nien Newspaper and won two prizes at the same time. Second prize for the work "Old Days" and a special consolation prize for the article "Really, why are you blind ?"

Then, in May 2014, The Hanh became one of 27 faces honored at the Shining Vietnamese Willpower Gala with Nick Vujicic (an armless man from Australia), at My Dinh National Stadium (Hanoi).

Le Duong The Hanh writes not only to express her soul but also to spread the energy of love to people in the same situation and to those who are "sighted". Each book spreads the joy of life and conveys humane messages.

The Hanh considers herself a bridge between light and darkness. "I have lived in the light for 27 years and have felt the good things that nature and people have given me, and for the past 17 years, although I have lived in the darkness, I have received a lot of love from everyone. That is the motivation that helps me overcome adversity and always smile, even though my mouth is crooked," The Hanh confided.
