Son La determined to complete the goal of eliminating temporary houses

Implementing the policy of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households, Son La province has mobilized all levels, sectors and all people to join hands and unite, speed up the program's progress, and is determined to complete the goal of eliminating temporary houses before May 19.

According to the report of the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Son La Province: The whole province has 2,893 households in need of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, with a total cost of over 163.7 billion VND. By April 10, 2025 , the whole province had started construction of 2,553 houses, of which 2,210 were newly built and 343 were repaired. Of which: Son La city and Bac Yen, Quynh Nhai, Yen Chau districts completed the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses. The remaining 340 houses in Van Ho, Thuan Chau, Sop Cop, Phu Yen, Muong La and Mai Son districts will continue to start construction in April and early May. Up to this point, Son La province has received funds from the state budget and funding sources from units, businesses, and philanthropists to implement the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, striving to complete this program before May 19.

With high political determination and the synchronous participation of the entire political system and people of all ethnic groups in the province, Son La is striving to complete the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses on schedule, ensuring that every poor household has a safe and stable home, contributing to the effective implementation of the goal of sustainable poverty reduction./.
