Ha Tinh Department of Transport guides on extending car inspection

Ha Tinh Department of Transport has just issued a document guiding the confirmation of the validity period of inspection certificates and technical safety and environmental protection inspection stamps for road motor vehicles.

The subjects of application are passenger cars with up to 9 seats not used for transportation business with a production time of up to 7 years and a production time of 13 to 20 years that were granted before June 17, 2023.

Pursuant to Circular No. 08/2023/TT-BGTVT dated June 2, 2023 of the Ministry of Transport stipulating amendments and supplements to a number of articles of Circular No. 16/2021/TT-BGTVT dated August 12, 2021 of the Ministry of Transport stipulating the inspection of technical safety and environmental protection of road motor vehicles, in order to promote the application of IT in handling administrative procedures and propagating to people to know and implement the extension of the validity period of inspection certificates and inspection stamps, the Department of Transport recommends that organizations and individuals who need to extend can access the website of the Vietnam Register at https://www.vr.org.vn/, go to the section "Inspection extension lookup".

Specifically, the renewal process is as follows:

Step 1: People access the website of the Vietnam Register http://www.vr.org.vn, go to the section "SEARCH FOR INSPECTION EXTENSION".

Step 2: The website appears: https://giahanxcg.vr.org.vn . People enter the following information: registration plate, serial number of inspection certificate (on the registration book), verification code. After entering, continue to click on " Search".

Step 3: After clicking “ Search ”, the vehicle information will appear on the screen as follows:

Step 4: People click on the link " CONFIRMATION OF INSPECTION INFORMATION " and print the confirmation paper to use when participating in traffic (use with the old inspection certificate), as shown below:
