September 5 - the big unknown on the Oscar race
September 5 Follow ABC sports reporters as they cover the historic 1972 terrorist attacks at the Munich Olympics.
A Palestinian terrorist group called Black September attacked the Olympic village and took Israeli athletes and coaches hostage.
The event was one of the greatest tragedies in world sport, and ABC reporters who were close to the area had to immediately start reporting the news, this was also the first time the developments of a terrorist attack were reported live on television.

Although directed by Tim Fehlbaum, a little-known Swiss filmmaker, September 5 still impressed critics when it screened at the Venice Film Festival and the Telluride Film Festival.
