A pilot plant for treating domestic waste with a capacity of 100 tons/day will be built in Cam Tuyen commune.

The leaders of Cam Lo District People's Committee have just worked with Colorful Hanoi Plastic Import-Export Trading Production Company Limited on a pilot project to treat domestic solid waste using the method of separating plastic waste combined with microbiological technology at the concentrated landfill in Cam Tuyen commune with a capacity of 100 tons/day.

Accordingly, in the pilot phase, the factory will be installed with modules: a system for chopping, separating water, and classifying raw waste; a composting and mixing equipment, and a screening machine for organic microbial production. Based on the pilot results, the investor will additionally install and complete the terminal treatment lines, including modules: a system for recycling nylon, plastic, cotton, and various fibers; and a production line for unburnt bricks.

The total area of the factory and the land area used is about 1,500 ^m2 , of which the factory is 350 ^m2 , the temporary warehouse for finished products after classification is 1,150 ^m2 . This is a waste treatment system using IVW technology (increasing the value of waste), specifically recycling, reusing and converting waste into production materials. The expected pilot period is 4 months, from 1-4/2024.

At the meeting, district leaders and relevant departments and offices fully agreed with the enterprise's policy.

At the same time, it is recommended that investors clarify some stages in the waste treatment process; wastewater treatment issues during operation; management and use of finished products after treatment; follow-up plans after successful or unsuccessful piloting...

On that basis, Cam Lo district leaders proposed that enterprises cooperate with relevant departments, branches and district-level offices and departments to soon complete legal procedures to implement the project.
