People worry about the road

Currently, the 14.2km long highway constructed by Son Hai Group has completed the asphalt paving and is constructing the median strip and installing highway protection fences. The goal is to ensure technical traffic opening on April 30, 2025.

However, about 50 households in Group 5, Trang Cat Quarter, Hac Dich Ward and some households in Group 9, My Xuan Ward are worried because there will soon be no residential roads for traffic. Mr. Do Van Thuan, Group 5, Trang Cat Quarter worried: "Currently, we have to rely on the construction unit's official road. If they install a fence in the near future, we don't know how to get there."

Ms. Vo Thi Thu Van, Group 5, Trang Cat Quarter also reported that previously there were 4-5 concrete roads convenient for travel. People here not only lack residential roads but also face isolation in the future when the highway protection fence is installed.

“When the fence is built, people will not know how to get there. My house is right next to the highway, making daily life very inconvenient. I just hope there will be a residential road so my children can go to school without having to go around,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Xuyen, Group 9, My Tan Quarter, My Xuan Ward.

Drainage covers and safety fences were built close to houses, and the construction unit temporarily paved the road for people to move around.

Urgently add access roads for people

Faced with the situation of people having difficulty traveling when residential roads are cut off due to the expressway project, the People's Committee of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province issued Official Dispatch No. 3296/UBND-VP, agreeing to add residential roads in Hac Dich ward, Toc Tien commune, Chau Pha commune, Phu My city; adding drainage items and reinforcing the roadside with cement concrete for component project 3 of the Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Expressway Construction Project - Phase 1. Specifically, the service road will be built at km34+840 in My Xuan ward, while some sections passing through Toc Tien commune and Chau Pha commune will also be added with residential roads.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Cong Vinh directed the Regional Traffic Project Management Board and the Agriculture sector to urgently complete the procedures for adding a service road to component project 3, and at the same time deploy construction to put it into operation in sync with the expressway.

In addition, the province also requested relevant units to have plans to ensure people's travel needs during the construction period and ensure traffic safety. This is good news for households in terms of travel. However, people also proposed and recommended that the province should have timely support measures while waiting for the completion of additional routes, in order to minimize inconveniences in daily life and ensure safety during travel. Combining the development of traffic infrastructure and protecting people's rights will contribute to creating harmony in the development process of the area.
