SCB ceases operations of a transaction office in Hai Duong

SCB Nguyen Luong Bang Transaction Office will cease operations no later than June 12, 2024, after nearly 6 years of operation.

Specifically, SCB will terminate the operation of SCB Nguyen Luong Bang transaction office (managed by SCB Hai Duong branch). The latest date of cessation of operation is June 12, 2024.

SCB Nguyen Luong Bang transaction office has been operating since August 2018. According to a quick report on May 27, this transaction office has a capital mobilization scale of more than 300 billion VND, with no outstanding debt. After closing, in Hai Duong province, there is only one transaction location of SCB, which is the Hai Duong branch at 133 Thanh Nien, Hai Tan ward (Hai Duong city).

To ensure safety and efficiency in business operations and in accordance with legal regulations, SCB will transfer all assets, rights, obligations and related benefits of Nguyen Luong Bang transaction office to Hai Duong branch. In particular, the bank's head office has developed a customer transfer plan and customer care scenarios to ensure smooth implementation of customer transaction needs. SCB Hai Duong branch has proactively implemented the first steps in the transfer process.

Staff of Nguyen Luong Bang transaction office will be temporarily transferred to Hai Duong branch.

Since SCB was placed under special control by the State Bank in October 2022, the bank has closed many transaction offices in many provinces and cities across the country. According to the Southern Banking Association, from June 2023 to May 2024, SCB has dissolved 61 transaction offices, including 37 in Ho Chi Minh City.
