On social media, Mr. Maduro shared: "We have arrived in Brasilia, the capital of the Federative Republic of Brazil", and posted a video about the visit.
Brazilian Foreign Ministry Secretary for Latin America and the Caribbean Gisela Maria Figueiredo Padovan and Venezuelan Ambassador to Brasilia Manuel Vicente Vadell welcomed Maduro at the capital's airport.
The leader expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome in Brasilia and said: "In the coming hours, we will develop a diplomatic agenda aimed at strengthening the necessary solidarity of the peoples of our continent."
Mr. Maduro and leaders of at least 10 other South American countries will attend a summit of regional leaders, chaired by Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, scheduled for May 30.
The last time Mr. Maduro visited Brazil was in 2015, when he attended the inauguration of former President Dilma Rousseff.
State-run Venezolana de Televisión said Maduro's visit to Brasilia was another step in the "re-establishment of bilateral and diplomatic relations" between the two South American countries, which had deteriorated under the administration of Lula da Silva's predecessor, Jair Bolsonaro (2019-2022).
On May 26, the Foreign Ministers of Brazil and Venezuela held a phone call, discussing "priority issues on the bilateral agenda, at the time of resumption of relations between the two countries".
Last week, Brazilian President Lula da Silva received the credentials of the new Venezuelan Ambassador to Brasilia Manuel Vadell, in which Mr. Maduro spoke of "a new starting point for strengthening the alliance between two brotherly peoples."
