Sharing at the press conference, Vice Chairman of Son Tay Town People's Committee Le Dai Thang said: The 2024 National Band Festival is organized by the Son Tay Town Culture - Information and Sports Center, the Vietnam Musicians Association in coordination with the Hanoi Music Association and Son Tay Town People's Committee.
Through the Festival, the aim is to bring to the people of Son Tay town and neighboring areas rich, diverse and high-quality musical concerts; thereby creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere, developing the cultural and artistic movement in the community and among workers. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for artists from all over the country to gather, exchange, learn, share and exchange experiences in artistic activities, in order to improve professional skills, continue to create quality artistic products to serve society.

With the participation of bands representing public and non-public music and dance art units nationwide, the festival will gather artists, musicians, and singers, contributing to improving people's spiritual life, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere, serving as a driving force to promote economic, cultural, and social development, and celebrate the holidays of the city and town.
The festival will take place from October 31 to November 2, 2024 at the Culture, Information and Sports Center of Son Tay town.
According to the Organizing Committee, there have been 12 bands participating in the 2024 National Band Festival so far. The bands will be divided into 2 groups. Group A is for bands belonging to professional and non-public art units. Group B is for non-professional bands and groups; private bands and groups; bands and groups belonging to other social organizations.
Each band participating in the festival will perform 4 acts, including 2 ensemble acts (using 1 foreign work) and 2 songs (including 1 song about Hanoi). The units will perform live on stage the content registered to participate in the festival in the form of a band or collective group, each band or group will have no more than 10 people (including singers). With performance styles of Pop, Rock, Jazz, or new complex genres combined with exploiting other technological effects.
Regarding the award structure, in addition to the first, second and third prizes in each category, the Organizing Committee will award special prizes and consolation prizes to groups and individual band members with high professional qualifications and excellent performance skills.
The performance ceremony of the best works and the award ceremony of the Festival will take place at 8:00 p.m. on November 2, at the main stage of the walking street of Son Tay Ancient Citadel (Son Tay town), expected to be broadcast live on Hanoi Radio and Television, online on digital platforms YouTube, TikTok...

In addition, following the National Band Festival, the People's Committee of Son Tay town also coordinated with relevant units to organize the Miss Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Contest. The final round of the contest is expected to be held on December 24, 2024 at the Culture - Information and Sports Center of Son Tay town.
The contest is organized to find beauties with "beauty, heart, talent" to promote the image of Vietnamese Ao Dai and promote the role and capacity of Vietnamese women in the process of integration and development, promoting the country and Vietnamese people to international friends. At the same time, through the contest, it will highlight the unique cultural values of Son Tay, especially historical - cultural relics and natural landscapes, thereby attracting the attention of domestic and foreign tourists, promoting local economic development.
During the contest, the image of the Ao Dai will be strongly promoted through communication activities and events. Contestants will have the opportunity to introduce the Ao Dai, its history and meaning to a wide audience. Contestants will become cultural ambassadors, bringing the message of the beauty and value of the Ao Dai associated with cultural heritage to the public, thereby preserving and promoting the traditional beauty of the Ao Dai in the hearts of every Vietnamese person./.
