
Despite the short time, localities have prepared carefully and proactively, ensuring the most favorable conditions for voters representing households in the province to express their opinions.
On the people's side, most expressed their opinions in a joyful, excited, democratic atmosphere, believing in the Party's policies and guidelines, the State's laws and policies with a high spirit of solidarity. The security, order and social safety situation in the areas was absolutely guaranteed.
According to information from the Department of Home Affairs, preliminary data as of 5:40 p.m. on April 18, in units that have completed vote counting (excluding Dinh Hoa district, which has not yet implemented the collection of opinions), the average voter turnout rate reached 98.14%, the number of votes in favor of the plan to arrange commune-level administrative units and merge the two provinces of Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen reached an average of 98.88%.
Pho Yen City was the first unit to have a 100% voter turnout, followed by Vo Nhai District and Song Cong City with nearly 100%. Voters in these localities all agreed with the plan to arrange commune-level administrative units and establish Thai Nguyen province on the basis of arranging the two provinces of Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen, with the rate of Pho Yen City 100%, Song Cong City 99.99%, Vo Nhai District 99.83%.
In Phu Luong district, the voting rate was 98.94%, with the number of votes in favor (both levels) reaching 98.48%.
Dong Hy district has had 8/14 units complete the vote counting with the number of voters representing households going to vote basically reaching 100% with the number of votes in agreement (both levels) basically reaching 100%.

Dai Tu district completed the vote counting of 22/27 units, of which 99.88% of the votes agreed with the plan to merge and consolidate Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen provinces, and 99.25% agreed with the plan to rearrange commune-level administrative units. Phu Binh district completed the vote counting of 15/20 units, of which the number of votes in agreement (at both levels) reached over 98%.
Thai Nguyen City began collecting opinions from voters representing households in the area on the policy of arranging commune-level administrative units and the policy of merging and unifying Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen provinces at 2:00 p.m., but by 5:40 p.m. this afternoon, 60% of voters had participated in the vote, with the number of votes in agreement basically reaching 100%.
This is the first day of collecting voters' opinions. Tomorrow (April 19), localities will continue to complete the collection of voters' opinions.
