The Department of Transport of Hoa Binh province has just issued Notice No. 3051 on the implementation of a plan to ensure safety and organize traffic through Provincial Road 445 at Km3+600 - Km3+900, Ky Son ward, Hoa Binh city due to the impact of storms and floods causing landslides. The above notice was issued in the context of the collapse of Ngoi Mong bridge in the early morning of September 19.

According to the announcement from the Department of Transport of Hoa Binh, the traffic organization plan through the above route is regulated as follows: Trucks with a load capacity of over 1,500 kg and passenger cars with more than 7 seats are prohibited from circulating through the section from Km3+600 - Km3+900 on Provincial Road 445.

To regulate traffic, the provincial Department of Transport announced that vehicles needing to travel through the section Km3+600 - Km3+900 and vice versa will follow the route: Ky Son Ward People's Committee (Km0+000/Provincial Road 445) - National Highway 6 - Hoa Lac - Hoa Binh Road (Km17+500) - Quang Tien - Thinh Minh Road - Provincial Road 445 (Km11+700) - Thinh Minh Commune.

At 1am today (September 19), Ngoi Mong bridge on provincial road 445 connecting Ky Son ward with Hop Thanh commune (Hoa Binh city) sank. By 4am the same day, the head of the bridge had collapsed.

Previously, due to the impact of storm No. 3 and the storm's circulation, authorities had put up warning ropes, prohibiting people and vehicles from traveling on the bridge. At the time of the bridge collapse, there were no casualties or damage to vehicles.

Ngoi Mong Bridge is about 30m long, 4.5m wide, built with steel beams and has no central pillars, only two abutments on both sides. This bridge serves the travel needs of people, mainly motorbikes and cars.
