Former T-ara member sentenced to prison
The Suwon District Court has sentenced singer Han Ahreum to eight months in prison, two years of probation, and 40 hours of child abuse prevention classes after being convicted of child abuse and defamation of her ex-husband.
According to information from the newspaper Donga , Han Ahreum was prosecuted for child abuse, including insulting her ex-husband in front of the children. In addition, she was accused of defamation and slander against her ex-husband on an online broadcast.
At the trial, she admitted all the charges. The judge stressed that Han Ahreum must be held responsible for the severe psychological damage she caused to her children.
