G IAN DAN ROAD TO SINGAPORE to support the team
According to the announcement from the Football Association of Singapore (FAS), tickets for the first leg of the semi-final (December 26) will be on sale from 12 noon on December 22 (Singapore time) with 3 price categories: 49 SGD (about 1 million VND), 35 SGD (about 680,000 VND) and 24 SGD (about 450,000 VND). Tickets are sold directly at the stadium, each person can only buy a maximum of 4 tickets/transaction. Jalan Besar Stadium has a capacity of about 6,000 seats, but only 300 tickets are allocated to fans of the Vietnamese team, priced at 38 SGD (about 700,000 VND). Tickets for fans of the Vietnamese team are only sold at the stadium 5 hours before the match. FAS announced: "This is for the safety and benefit of all spectators. The match organizers reserve the right to refuse entry to away fans if they use tickets for home fans. If they are sitting in the Singapore audience area, away fans will also be asked to leave the stadium." Tickets for the first leg were sold out yesterday, December 22.
Speaking to Thanh Nien , President of the Vietnam Golden Star Fans Association Do Hoang Yen said that the association is looking for a way to go to Singapore to cheer on coach Kim Sang-sik and his team. However, strict regulations from Singapore and the small number of tickets for Vietnamese fans have caused certain difficulties. Ms. Hoang Yen shared: "Because the stadium is small and there are only 300 seats for Vietnamese fans, buying tickets for the fan association will be very difficult. 300 tickets is too small compared to the needs of Vietnamese fans, not to mention Vietnamese people living and working in Singapore also want to go to the stadium to cheer for coach Kim Sang-sik and his team. We really want to go, but we have to wait for a response from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF). VFF may intervene and work with FAS. For now, we will send an official dispatch to VFF. When VFF approves tickets for the fan association, we will plan and buy plane tickets to Singapore," Ms. Yen said.
SEMI-FINAL RETURN LEG TICKETS "SOLD OUT"
Tickets for the second leg semi-final match between Vietnam and Singapore (December 29) at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho) were sold online from 8am on December 21. And just a few minutes after the sale, all tickets in 3 price categories (VND600,000, VND500,000 and VND300,000) were sold out. After the announcement that the online tickets were sold out, football groups on social networks immediately became very active. Many people advertised for sale and many others wanted to buy, even buying in large quantities. At this time, tickets for the second leg semi-final match of the Vietnam team have been "inflated" 3-4 times higher. Thanh Nien reporters tried to contact a "ticket broker" and received a quote: VND3.5 million/pair of type 1 tickets, VND1.5 million/pair of type 3 tickets.
Mr. Nguyen Van Binh (office worker, residing in Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City) said that because he arrived 10 minutes later than the opening time, he was unable to buy a ticket. However, Mr. Binh was still determined to "hunt" for a ticket to Phu Tho. "I have never been to the stadium to watch the Vietnamese team compete live, so this time I have to go. Although it is almost Tet and my work is quite busy, I asked for leave and accepted to buy black market tickets for 2.5 million VND/pair. Besides, the appearance of Nguyen Xuan Son is also one of the reasons why my colleagues and I want to go to Viet Tri stadium", Mr. Binh revealed.
In the two group stage matches, the Singapore team played at the Singapore National Stadium, which has a capacity of over 50,000 seats. It is known that the Singapore National Stadium was busy organizing entertainment events on December 28 and 29.
