In the last days of 2024, the family of Mr. Phan Quang Trung and Ms. Hoang Thi Nhung (Ia Lop commune, Ea Sup district) happily welcomed new joy when the House of Love was completed and put into use.
Mr. Trung’s family is poor, and Mr. Trung himself is severely disabled (blind in both eyes) and unable to work. Every day, Mrs. Nhung has to work hard to earn money to support her family and raise her children. In the middle of the sunny and windy border area, the family’s small wooden house cannot withstand the harsh natural disasters, sun, rain, storms and floods.
Through the mobilization of the Association for the Support of the Disabled and the Protection of Children's Rights of the province, the Nam Tay Nguyen Petroleum Company supported 80 million VND, along with the corresponding funding of Mr. Trung's family to build a new house. Mr. Trung was moved: "I am extremely grateful to the units that supported the construction of a solid house, helping the family no longer have to worry about rain and sun, stabilizing their lives."

Mr. Hoang Phuoc (66 years old, Ea Kar town, Ea Kar district) has diabetes, blood vessel blockage, and difficulty walking. In 2024, he had to amputate one of his right legs. From a normal person, his life has been turned upside down, his daily activities and movements are difficult, and he cannot work. As for H' Bich Ayun (10 years old, Ea Drong commune, Cu M'gar district), she has been paralyzed in both legs since birth. For the past 10 years, she has been bedridden, occasionally suffering from pain, and is dependent on relatives for all her activities.
In 2024, with the support of organizations, businesses, individuals, and philanthropists, 9,100 disabled people and orphans in difficult circumstances in the province were helped with a value of over 2.5 billion VND. |
At the end of 2024, Mr. Hoang Phuoc and H'Bich Ayun were two of more than 100 disabled people in the province who were given wheelchairs and rocking chairs at the program "Giving wheelchairs, rocking chairs, and walkers to the disabled" organized by the Provincial Association for the Protection of the Disabled and Protection of Children's Rights in coordination with the Dinh Thien Ly Community Support Fund (Ho Chi Minh City). Mr. Hoang Phuoc confided that this was a meaningful gift, showing the care of the units, thereby supporting him with transportation, reducing difficulties in mobility in daily life, contributing to reducing the burden on the family.
For the past three years, the program “Awarding scholarships to disabled and orphaned students in difficult circumstances” organized by the Association for the Protection of Disabled and Children’s Rights and the Department of Education and Training of Buon Ma Thuot City has become a source of spiritual encouragement, helping students have more conditions to continue going to school. Recently, the program has organized the awarding of 100 scholarships (each worth 1 million VND) to students in special circumstances in Buon Ma Thuot City.
Luong Bao Ngoc (first grader, Nguyen Dinh Chieu Primary School, Buon Ma Thuot City) is an orphan and currently lives with her grandmother. Receiving the scholarship, Bao Ngoc confided: "I feel very happy to receive the attention of the uncles and aunts and to receive a meaningful gift. I will always try to study hard to not let down my family and teachers."
According to statistics from the Provincial Association for the Support of the Disabled and Protection of Children's Rights, the province currently has nearly 80,000 people with disabilities, of which 22,716 people with disabilities are receiving monthly social benefits in the community (6,792 people with extremely severe disabilities, 15,924 people with severe disabilities). There are 13,723 children receiving monthly social benefits in the community. Of these, 392 children under 16 years old have no source of support, 3,464 children with extremely severe disabilities and severe disabilities, 9,853 children under 3 years old from poor households...

According to Chairwoman of the Provincial Association for the Protection of the Disabled and Protection of Children's Rights Nguyen Thi Phi Thao, in recent times, the Provincial Association for the Protection of the Disabled and Protection of Children's Rights has made efforts in mobilizing resources in many forms, effectively implementing key sponsorship programs and coordination activities, thereby helping the disabled, orphans, and the poor improve their health care conditions, housing, travel, education, livelihoods, etc. With practical support activities, the Association has become a bridge connecting the kind hearts of organizations, units, businesses, individuals, and philanthropists inside and outside the province to the less fortunate in the community.
The support and sharing of the community has helped many disabled people and orphans in difficult circumstances in the province to improve their material and spiritual lives. Thereby, actively contributing to the Party and State in assisting and caring for disabled people and orphans, ensuring social security so that no one is left behind.
