Halloween is a blend of religious rituals and ancient customs of many different cultures. During these days, stages are also held in the lobby of the festival space, so that the audience can take pictures next to the effigies: witches, black cats, ghostly glowing pumpkins or costumes, masks...
In Ho Chi Minh City, Halloween is a new cultural activity introduced in the open era. Unlike the original festival, Halloween in Vietnam is mainly an occasion for fun and does not have strong religious and ritualistic colors.
The plays on this occasion, besides a little bit of horror, are mainly humorous and educational, bringing to the audience messages about maintaining morality and living for the community.
