Saigontourist Group and Satra sign strategic cooperation

On the evening of December 27, at the Grand Saigon Hotel, Saigontourist Group and Satra held a signing ceremony for a strategic cooperation agreement for the period 2023 - 2028. Attending the ceremony was Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Truong Duc Hung, General Director of Saigontourist Group, said that the strategic cooperation between the two sides marks an important milestone, bringing many benefits to both sides, especially important in the current recovery and development period of the service, tourism and trade industries.

Mr. Lam Quoc Thanh, General Director of Satra also shared that the signing of strategic cooperation between the two units is an important step in creating combined strength, effectively exploiting resources, thereby bringing mutual benefits.

According to Mr. Thanh, the two units will take advantage of each other to strengthen marketing promotion, brand development; exploit, use and develop new products and services to expand the retail and tourism market; provide better experiences for customers.

Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Dung assessed that Saigontourist Group and Satra are two major economic units of the city, with strengths and potential in the fields of tourism and trade. Each side has its own strengths and through the cooperation program, the two sides can utilize them into a combined strength for development.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, after this cooperation program, each year in addition to the independent development orientation, the two sides should reiterate the signing program to introduce each other's products. The Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also suggested that Saigontourist Group study cooperation with the units that Ho Chi Minh City tourism has linked with to share resources, thereby building a strong economic development.

The purpose of the cooperation program is to promote the connection and strategic development cooperation between the two sides to expand the market, increase revenue; support promotion activities, and participate in activities of both sides. The cooperation program is expected to contribute to making tourism economy and trade a key economic sector, creating a driving force for socio-economic development of Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country.

Satra was established on November 2, 1995 with only 27 member companies. Up to now, Satra has developed into a strong economic group, doing business in many fields but specializing in the fields of trade - services, production - processing and import and export, including more than 50 member companies.
