On November 23 in Kuala Lumpur, Saigon Tourist Corporation (Saigontourist Group) held an important cooperation signing ceremony with Genesis Group Tourism Corporation, Malaysia.
On the occasion of the official visit to Malaysia of the high-ranking delegation of the Party and State of Vietnam led by General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam, on November 23, 2024 in Kuala Lumpur, Saigon Tourist Corporation (Saigontourist Group) held an important cooperation signing ceremony with Genesis Group, Malaysia. The event marked a new step forward in the cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism, bringing in tens of millions of dollars in additional revenue for the two leading tourism corporations of the two countries.
The signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between Saigontourist Group Chairman Pham Huy Binh and Genesis Group Chairman Ta Hui May was witnessed by General Secretary To Lam, Ho Chi Minh City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Nen, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Nguyen Duy Ngoc and senior Malaysian leaders.
The signing ceremony was honored to welcome the presence of General Secretary To Lam and his wife; Politburo members: Mr. Nguyen Van Nen - Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Mr. Phan Dinh Trac - Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission; Mr. Luong Tam Quang - Minister of Public Security; Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office; Mr. Le Hoai Trung - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central External Relations Commission; Mr. Bui Thanh Son - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Malaysian representatives including Mr. Tuan Chang Lih Kang - Minister of Science and Technology, Mr. Dato Tan Yang Thai - Malaysian Ambassador to Vietnam; along with senior officials of the two countries, the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia, leaders of Ho Chi Minh City, Saigontourist Group, Genesis Group, Malaysian, Vietnamese and international media agencies.
The Vietnam - Malaysia bilateral tourism development cooperation program was marked by the signing ceremony of the cooperation memorandum between Saigontourist Group and Genesis Tourism Group of Malaysia. Specifically, the two sides will cooperate to expand the market and promote tourism, hotels, transportation, cuisine, education, event organization, festivals and tourism fairs... in Vietnam, Malaysia and other countries. Saigontourist Group and Genesis Group develop and promote tourism products suitable for tourists to Vietnam and Malaysia, promoting the program "two countries - one destination". The cooperation is expected to create a "push" to optimize the tourism potential of both countries, creating many new, more attractive and unique tourism products. Both countries have many attractive destinations, the cooperation will help expand the market, promote two-way tourism between Vietnam and Malaysia.
