Review and remove difficulties and obstacles in urban projects

Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Truc Son inspected and removed difficulties and obstacles in urban projects.

At the meeting, the provincial and local departments presented difficulties and proposed solutions to overcome difficulties for: Urban Area Renovation Project along Ben Tre River; Urban Area Project in the South of Ben Tre City; Hung Phu Residential Area Project; Thanh Phu Town Residential Area; Phu Tan New Urban Area Development Investment Project, Ben Tre City; An Thuy Residential Area Project, Market Construction Investment Project and Urban Renovation of Xay Bridge; Thanh Tan Eco-tourism Area Project - Alluvial Land; Dong A - Phu Nhuan Resettlement Area Project, etc.

After listening to the proposed report, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Truc Son gave direct and specific instructions to each project so that provincial and local departments could coordinate to remove difficulties with a spirit of urgency, determination, and quick and sure implementation, in accordance with regulations.

For completed projects, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directs the acceptance and finalization of projects; regularly inspects and urges the progress of ongoing projects; projects with investors must be implemented immediately.

For projects that have had a resolution on investment policy from the Provincial People's Council, the Department of Construction shall preside over and coordinate with the Department of Finance and the People's Committees of districts and cities to conduct a comprehensive review once again to advise the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial People's Council a resolution to abolish a number of unfeasible projects that cannot be implemented during this period.

Informing delegates about the low disbursement rate of public investment capital in the province in the first months of the year and thoroughly grasping the Government's direction on disbursement of public investment capital in 2025, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee noted that localities within their authority and responsibility need to seriously and urgently speed up progress and focus on resolving projects.
