Quang Tri is about to organize a festival to honor the value of peace.

For the first time, Quang Tri province organized the Peace Festival in July 2024 with the theme "Joining hands to build a peaceful world".

According to the Organizing Committee, the festival aims to honor the value of peace, pay tribute to heroic martyrs, commemorate war victims, and share the painful losses caused by war. At the same time, it contributes to enhancing the position and image of the country and people of Vietnam; building Quang Tri into a cultural space for peace, a destination for peace-loving friends from all over the world.

The festival will open on the evening of July 6 at the Hien Luong - Ben Hai Special National Monument with a multi-faceted art program, conveying the message of Vietnam's desire for peace and integration spirit, focusing on the land of Quang Tri.

Within the framework of the Festival for Peace, there is a program "Wish for Peace" on the evening of July 26 in Quang Tri town with activities such as: a memorial service (Quang Tri ancient citadel); a grand prayer ceremony (Liberation Square); and a flower lantern ceremony (south bank of Thach Han River).

There are also many other activities such as: Cycling for Peace Festival (taking place from June 29-30); Cultural - Culinary Festival (July 12-14); Trinh Cong Son Music Night "Peace Song" (July 13); International Music Exchange Program "Melody of Peace" (July 20)...
