"The Flavor of the Sunny Land" invites tourists to Quang Tri

The "Taste of the Sunny Land" festival in Quang Tri attracted the participation of nearly 100 culinary booths from all over the country and abroad such as Laos, Thailand, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, Italy...

Taking place from July 12-14 at Cua Viet Tourist Service Area, the International Cultural - Culinary Festival with the theme "Taste of Sunland" is the key activity in the series of events of the Festival for Peace to honor the diversity and uniqueness of Vietnamese cuisine in general and Quang Tri cuisine in particular in tourism activities.

In recent days, Quang Tri province has introduced to festival visitors the culinary culture with strong local identity such as nem cha cho Sai, bun hen Mai Xa, ga Cua, Gio An pork tray, Hai Lang porridge, Cua Viet seafood, dishes of Van Kieu-Pako people, vegetarian dishes, OCOP products...

Notably, within the framework of the event, there will also be a culinary showcase performed by leading Vietnamese artisans and culinary experts, including typical dishes such as Mai Xa mussel vermicelli, Que Son cassava pho, Nghe eel soup, Sai market grilled spring rolls, Cua chicken stewed with pumpkin, wine-smoked grouper...

Accompanying the festival is an international kite exchange activity in collaboration with the "Kite" Cultural Heritage Conservation Center, including 6 teams of domestic and international kite artisans participating in the performance. Kite artisans perform light kites on the beach at night, visitors also have the opportunity to experience kite making, artistic face painting...

Sharing at the event, Permanent Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong said that the Cultural - Culinary Festival "Taste of the Sunny Flower Land" is positioned as a cultural event with widespread influence, an opportunity to promote the cultural values, potentials and strengths of the land and people of Quang Tri to domestic and foreign tourists.

Not only enjoying the typical dishes of the land of sunshine and wind, visitors can also immerse themselves in meaningful peace events as well as experience a colorful, friendly, hospitable Quang Tri, a must-visit destination on their Vietnam travel itinerary.

From June 29 to July 26, Quang Tri province organized the Peace Festival to honor the value of peace, pay tribute to heroic martyrs, commemorate war victims, share the painful losses caused by war, and promote propaganda to contribute to enhancing the position and image of the land and people of Quang Tri.
