Deputy Secretary in charge of Lang Son Provincial Youth Union Doan Thanh Cong said that this is a meaningful activity, part of the 9th Vietnam - China Border Defense Friendship Exchange Program in 2025. The program aims to strengthen solidarity and friendship between children of the two border provinces of Lang Son (Vietnam) and Guangxi (China). At the same time, it creates a healthy and useful playground for children to have the opportunity to exchange and learn about the culture, traditions, and customs of both sides.

Here, children from both countries visited the Lang Son Provincial Museum and the thematic exhibition "Liberation of the South in 1975 - The Great Victory Epic"; experienced drawing Vietnamese conical hats with images symbolizing the cultures of the two countries such as lotus flowers, bamboo trees... of Vietnam or the Great Wall, pandas... of China; experienced making ceramics; lit a campfire to exchange cultural activities; participated in playing folk games...

Mai Ngoc, a student at Hoang Van Thu Secondary School (Lang Son province), said she felt very excited and honored to welcome the Chinese children's delegation and to immerse herself in the joyful, warm, friendly and united atmosphere of the young generations of Vietnam and China.
"Through meaningful activities at the program, I hope to bring to Chinese students good images of the cultural beauty of Lang Son province in particular and Vietnamese culture in general, as well as send a message of peace and friendship between the two countries," Mai Ngoc shared.

Decorating the image of the Vietnamese and Chinese flags on a conical hat, Trieu Quoc Viet, a student at Primary School No. 4 in Bang Tuong City (Guangxi Province, China) said that the image of the flags of the two countries placed next to each other on each conical hat represents the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and China.
"I am very happy to participate in the program. The activities helped me understand more about Vietnamese culture. Vietnamese students are very enthusiastic and friendly with Chinese students. I hope the Vietnam-China relationship will last forever," said Trieu Quoc Viet.
